Rod breakdown machines convert Ø9.5 mm standard and alloy aluminum rods rods into single wires with precise diameter, preparing them for stranding, bunching, insulation, or other steps in wire and cable production. The finished wire reaches the required diameter for stranding, bunching, insulation, or other conductor production steps in wire and cable factories.

Features
  • The pneumatic dual-reel take-up system reaches reel change speed quickly and can change reels once the speed drops to 8–12 m/s, reducing downtime during production.
  • During reel changeover, wire diameter at the leading end stays within ±0.01 mm, so less scrap is produced.
  • Maintenance access openings on the wire drawing oil tank make it easier to remove parts, inspect the area, and carry out routine servicing.
  • The traversing frame has a dual-support structure to ensure smoother operation, and its reversing position can be adjusted electrically during production.
  • The wire accumulator uses a contactless potentiometer, giving the storage system longer service life, stable linear adjustment, and faster reel change response.
  • The rotating-arm pay-off stand has two working positions, so rod feeding and rod connection can continue without stopping the main drawing machine.
  • If the rotating-arm pay-off stand detects abnormal rod feeding, the wire drawing machine stops automatically to prevent drawing faults or wire damage.
  • Full digital DC speed control, PLC programming, measurement display, fault display, fault alarm, and automatic shutdown give operators better control over the whole drawing line.
