Portal Take-Up, Vertical Drop Coiler
The take-up machine is designed to work with wire drawing machines and extrusion lines, efficiently coiling and stacking metal wires (such as aluminum and copper) and extruded plastic cables (PVC, PP, PE) into neat, compact coils. It stacks cable coils in an offset “rosette” pattern, allowing more cable to fit in the take-up frame while keeping each coil neatly packed.
Technical Specifications

Notes
For soft wire, take-up speed is selected according to annealing speed.
For hard wire, take-up speed is selected according to the main machine output speed.
Main Configuration
- Main Frame
- Coiling Mechanism
- RosetteType Coiling Mechanism
- Pneumatic System
- Take-Up Carriage
Features
- The “rosette” arrangement is achieved via an eccentric mechanism combined with a storage system. The wire is pushed into the inner loop of the take-up basket and stacked sequentially.
- During reel replacement, the storage mechanism is driven by pneumatic cylinders and chain-linked rods for continuous operation without stopping the line.
- Pneumatic systems support braking, reel change, and wire pressing for smooth operation.
- The take-up carriage, consisting of a base frame, travel wheels, and drive system, automatically advances and retracts for reel change when the preset meter count is reached.
